Oil Painting Still Life with Blue Cup and Marigold

"Cup of Flower" 6 x 6 oil on canvas panel

Yes! I swear, this is what happened.... I was baking and I ran short of flour, so of course I went to my neighbor and asked if I could please borrow a cup of flour. This is what she gave me. I always thought they were a bit odd...those neighbors...the new ones. Oh, I know, maybe I said FLOWER instead of FLOUR! My bad.

Oil Painting Still Life with Red Cup and Napkin

"Red Cup and napkin" 6 x 6 oil on canvas panel

What to paint, what not to paint?  That is always my question. Problem is I want to paint everything. Not such a good thing for someone like me. I start out with an idea, then change it a dozen or two times before brush ever touches canvas. I'm not indecisive by nature. I don't think? Am I? Maybe, maybe not...hmmm, another question to ponder.

original oil painting: Allentown Farm

12 x 24 oil on canvas
Loved painting this again! Such a beautiful farm near my home. These are just two of the buildings. Wanted to try something a little different with the size and shape. Painted the foreground a bit loose and abstract.

Still Life Painting: Yellow Flower in Glass Jar

I love the brightness of this painting. Orange is a great color and yellow...together they are just beautiful! I'm crazy about that combo. Can't say Orange or yellow are my favorites because like my kids...I don't have a favorite but love them all!
