Still Life Painting: Peony in Apothecary Bottle

Sold
My husband's Peonies are all finished. The flowers that are left behind are very pretty, but none are as lovely as the Peony. I did enjoy doing these sketches using different techniques, size brushes and palette knives to paint the flower heads. Some had to be scraped off and re-done(like this one) after I would make a complete mess! When that happens I just scrape or wipe off, walk away for 10 to 30 min., depending on time could even be overnight and when I go back it seems so easy. Crazy how that works.

Still Life Painting: Pink Peony in Glass Bottle No.2

Sold
I'm going to do a couple of more of these flower glass vase paintings and then I'm going back to some landscapes. Flowers are very challenging for me. I love them but need a break!
