This painting is of only part of a farm in Lancaster Pa. The farms can be sprawling and this one was. It is a perfect area for painting and photography. A few years ago I went with cycling friends on a bike ride called the Lancaster Covered Bridge Ride. We rode 62 miles and through 7 old covered bridges. There are not many of them around anymore. It was a lovely day and a beautiful ride. I remember how absolutely breathtaking the landscape was and passing so many farms on a hot humid summer day will definitely take your breath away...we were still smelling manure a week later!
